Tungsten Carbide Grit Band Saw Blades
SPC has a full range of Tungsten Carbide grit band saw blades to cut the most difficult of materials. Tungsten Carbide Grit, one of the hardest materials known, is metallurgically bonded to a steel base to form permanent cutting edges instead of teeth.
Our blades offer significant improvements in performance and durability over traditional toothed blades.
The unique cutting action and inherent toughness of Tungsten Carbide Grit band saws enables users to effectively and economically work difficult, hard, abrasive and brittle materials that defeat even the sharpest and most advanced toothed alternatives.
Our range of Band Saws comprises a variety of widths from 1/4 to 2” and two styles ensuring the ideal configuration for every job and every machine. Continuous blades are best used for brittle materials or thin section work, gulleted blades for everything else.
Use continuous edge for material less than 1/4″ thick or for hard material with a tendency to fracture, crack, or chip easily. Gulleted blades work best for cutting larger cross sections.
Significant Improvements
Metallurgically bonded Tungsten Carbide grit forms permanent edges that replace and improve on many traditional tools.
CUTS LONGER The blades stay sharp throughout a longer life, outliving toothed blades by a wide margin. Blades can also be reversed to further extend their life.
CUTS TOUGHER Tungsten Carbide grit edge blades withstand abuse and give long working life.
CUTS SMOOTHER Tungsten Carbide blades have thousands of cutting edges and cut with a ‘grinding’ action rather than the aggressive ripping action of toothed blades, reducing the risk of breaking brittle material and leaving the cut edges smooth often requiring no further finishing, and without chipping or damaging the surface.
CUTS SAFER Blades cut with minimal vibration and risk of snagging.
CUTS BETTER In many materials C4 tools and blades cut easily and with little effort. Curves can be cut smoothly and without danger of breakout.
CUTS FASTER The cut is faster, more aggressive; control is fine and sure.
CUTS MORE Tungsten Carbide blades can cut many different ‘problem’ materials.
CUTS CHEAPER Long life, high performance and consistent quality bring a significantly better ROI.
